Keel laying ceremony was held on 19th May 2020 for 4 units 15m aluminum patrol boats (AS093/094/095/096), built by Afai Southern Shipyard for Jiangsu Marine Safety Administration.
This project consists of 4 small high speed marine patrol boats for sailing in area A of inland river, which will perform integrated tasks of patrol and rescue after the opening of the second phase of the deepwater channel of MSA. This is of great significance and guarantee for creating a golden watercourse in the entire Yangtze River Basin, building a comprehensive transportation system in the Yangtze River Economic Area, and promoting high quality development of inland water transport. The project also laid a solid foundation for Afai Southern Shipyard to fully expand the market of inland aluminum high speed boats.
The representatives of MSA, including the Deputy Director Mr. Han Qi, the Department Manager Mr. Xu Honggeng and the First Class Catchpole Mr. Duan Bo, the Vice Manager of National Vessel Inspection Department of CCS Guangzhou Mr. Zhou Gang, the supervisor Mr. Hu Xianbin from Shanghai Jia Chuan Engineering & Supervision Development Co. Ltd, and the Vice Manager of AFAI Mr. Liu Yong jointly witnessed the ceremony. Mr. Han Qi and Mr. Liu Yong knocked the keels to announce formal keel laying of 4 patrols boats. During the ceremony, third parties signed the milestone certificates together.
