Pragmatic and Efficient, Enterprising and Discipline
On March 16th, the State of Rio De Janeiro and Afai signed a design and construction contract of seven urban sprinter catamaran ferries of 2000 passengers each.
This 2000 pax ferries project includes designing and building six ferries fueled with diesel and one dual-fueled with diesel and LNG, which is designed by CoCo Yachts. These ferries shall adopt full aluminum welded catamaran type, each with the passenger capacity of not less than 2000, providing at least 1000 seats, designed with two bows and two wheelhouses, and with the service speed of 18 knots, will be used to transport passengers in the sheltered waters in the Bay of Guanabara, for performing the crossing between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi.
