In September 2012, Afai Southern signed the construction contracts for two 40M alumimium high speed catamaran ferries with Shenzhen Pengxing Shipping Co.,Ltd. in Shenzhen. This type of ferry has overall length of 40.0m, overall width of 9.3m, mld. depth of 3.4m, design draft 1.25m, passenger capacity 199 persons, design speed 31.5 knots, and CCS class, with high speed, excellent sea keeping, beautiful appearance etc. features.
The first vessel of this series was named "PENG XING 15", has already been successfully delivered to the ship owner on April 25th, and the ship owner is very satisfied with the performance and quality of this vessel. It’s light-vessel sailing speed can reach 35.1 knots.
